Creamy Bowtie Pasta

  • 3 slices chopped bacon
  • 2 chicken breasts, cubed
  • 4 cloves of roasted garlic
  • 1 cup of sliced white mushrooms
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsps minced fresh basil
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 oz. dry bowtie pasta


Step 1

Brown bacon in a skillet over high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to skillet . Once the chicken is cooked add mushrooms to the pan and saute. Remove mixture from skillet and set aside.

Step 2

Add the chicken broth and garlic to the skillet and bring to a boil. Add the cream and return to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the chicken mixture back into the sauce.

Step 3

Bring a pot of water to a boil and add the dry pasta. Boil according to package directions, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 4

Drain pasta and combine with the sauce mixture. Pour the entire mixture into a casserole dish and top with parmesan cheese.

Step 5

If freezing, cool and wrap the mixture and place in the freezer for up to 3 months. When ready to cook, thaw in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cook uncovered until heated through and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with basil.
