Zesty Lime Shrimp

  • 1 pound of medium shrimp, deveined with tails on
  • 1/2 cup of butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup of shallots, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of lime juice
  • 1 tsp. of lime zest
  • 1/4 tsp. of crushed red pepper
  • 1/3 cup of cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper


Step 1

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add in 1/2 a tablespoon of butter and the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for several minutes until cooked through. Remove from pan.

Step 2

Turn the heat down to medium-low and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shallots, lime juice and crushed red pepper to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3

Add the rest of the butter to the pan. Stir in the lime zest, shrimp and cilantro, heat through and serve.
